U.S. operators choose X-O

News

Adoption of the X-O water meter reading solution continues in the U.S.

After a large number of Canadian cities, American operators have now started to adopt the X-O platform to read their customers' water meters wirelessly. Indeed, the open platform is compatible with water meters from most manufacturers, and uses low power LoRaWAN wireless transmitters. The LoRaWAN standard and secure protocol is used worldwide for meter reading. LoRaWAN technology is particularly well suited for this type of application because it consumes very little energy, communicates over very long distances, penetrates underground better and is much more economical than cellular.
